Volunteer

The Santa Barbara Rescue Mission has a 12-month residential drug and alcohol treatment program.  A component of this is the Learning Center which provides individualized academic instruction for the residents of the program.  Volunteer positions are open for teaching and tutoring.  The men’s recovery program is in need of mentors who are wiling to form personal relationships with the residents.

The Mission is also looking for participants for the new Ministry of Presence volunteer program for the homeless guest services.   Volunteers will contribute relationally to those who are in need of a sense of value, acceptance, and community.  Church groups are needed to perform chapel services for our homeless guests.
